Jeremy Chasteen | Lead Pastor for Strategy

Jeremy is passionate about mobilizing laborers to see churches planted globally. He has a B.A. in Business Administration from East Carolina University (1995) and a M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (2006). Before helping plant Crosspoint Church, he served on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ in Clemson, SC, Slovakia, and Raleigh, NC. He is the Executive Generation LINK Director and serves on the Board of the Pillar network. He married Liz in 1999 and they have four children: Carson (2004), Bryn (2006), Lydia (2008), and Spencer (2011). Liz is a stay-at-home mom and also enjoys mentoring women and encouraging our missions partners.

Jason Finley | Lead Pastor for Equipping

Jason’s desire is to equip men and women to glorify God through making disciples of Jesus. He gives oversight to worship services and preaching as well as our EQUIP teaching strategy. He earned a B.S. in Science Teaching – Biological Sciences from Clemson (2000) and is a two-time graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY (M.Div., 2004 and D.Min., 2015). Jason met his wife, Cayce, as a student at Clemson and they married June 3, 2001. They have two daughters: Reese (2003) and Anna (2010) and four sons: Will, (2005), Stuart & Clark (2006), and Nathan (2011).

Will Jackson | Executive Pastor

Will’s passion is to see Christians equipped and sent on mission as multipliers for God’s expanding Kingdom. Will oversees Crosspoint's stewardship efforts (e.g. facilities, finances, personnel) and manages the church office. He has earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Clemson (2011), a M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (2015), and a Ph.D. in Theological Studies with a concentration in Systematic Theology through Southeastern (2022). Will has previously served as an Industrial Engineer, as a Generation LINK Resident, and occasionally serves as an Adjunct Professor with Southeastern. Will met his wife, Kimberly, in middle school and they were married 13 years later (2013). They have a son, Miles (2019) and a daughter, Emma (2021).

Ken Lewis | Legacy Ministry Pastor

Ken is committed to preach and teach God’s word to the body of Christ. Prior to planting Crosspoint Church, Ken served as senior pastor of West Asheville Baptist Church in Asheville, NC (6 years) and Pisgah Forest Baptist Church in Brevard, NC (4.5 years). Pastor Ken graduated from Clemson University (1983) and from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (1989) with his M.Div. While attending seminary, Ken met his wife, Robin Shealy, who earned her MDiv (1988). Ken and Robin married in May of 1988 and have three sons: Daniel, Caleb and Matt.

Gabe Bolding | Lay Pastor

Gabe has spent his entire life in the Six Mile community, just north of Clemson. Gabe was convicted of his sin and surrendered to Christ as Lord and Savior while attending Clemson University in 2003. Growing up in a tight-knit community with a large loving family helped Gabe see the value of relational community and he desires to see Crosspoint continue to be a relational congregation. Gabe and his wife Aleesha met on Easter Sunday in 2003 and were married in 2005. They have 3 children, Lillie (2009), Annie (2014) and Gill (2017). Gabe graduated with a B.A. in Christian Studies (2006) and an M.A. in Apologetics (2009) from Luther Rice Seminary in Lithonia, GA. Having served on staff at local churches as Youth Pastor and Minister of Music, Gabe currently serves at Crosspoint as Director of Kids Connection. Gabe works at Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative in Pickens. He loves spending time with his large extended family and enjoys football, farming, teaching his kids about trout fishing, and making homemade ice cream.

Matt Denton | Lay Pastor

Matt grew up in Kingsport, TN, and repented of sin and turned to Christ at the age of 8 - led to Christ by his father. After graduating from Clemson University in 2007, he served on staff with Generation LINK for three years with college ministry and one year as a Pastoral Assistant. He married Tara Kneece in 2010 and they have three children: Andrew, Rett, and Emery Kate. He holds both a B.S. & M.S. in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and also a M.Div. in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He currently works as a structural engineer at Wood in Greenville. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching football, coffee, running, hunting/fishing, or reading.

John Henschen | Lay Pastor

John grew up in New Knoxville, OH and is currently an accountant at Payne, White & Schmutz CPA in Seneca. After graduating from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Family Financial Management, he served on staff with Athletes in Action, the sports ministry of Cru, ministering to collegiate and professional athletes and coaches until 2016. Following his time at AIA, John served with Generation LINK at Crosspoint for three years, working with small groups and EQUIP. While serving with Generation LINK, he received his M.A. in Christian Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. John has been married to his wife Courtney since 2010 and they have five children: Ainsley (2011), Millie (2013), Luke (2015), Wade (2017), and Evelyn (2020).

Mark Welborn | Lay Pastor

Mark grew up in Pickens, SC and graduated from Clemson in 1981 with a degree in Business Administration. Mark married Cathy in 1983 and the Lord has blessed them with three children: Ashley, Ben, and Adam. Overflowing from a love for God’s Word, the Lord has given Mark a deep love for the local church. In 2005, Mark and Cathy played a pivotal role in the planting of Crosspoint Church by committing to relocate their family with the Lewis’s to Clemson to help start Crosspoint Church.

Abbey Cook | Ministry Coordinator & Generation LINK Assistant Director

Abbey is thankful for the privilege to serve as the Generation LINK Assistant Director. She has a passion to disciple women and see the gospel transform their lives, to grow in their love for God and His Word, and to be equipped in biblical womanhood as it relates to others, the church, and the home. Abbey holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies from the College at Southeastern and a M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. She enjoys hanging out with friends, exploring the city, a good cup of coffee, reading, and traveling.

Jason Elvington | College Minister

Jason's desire is to see college students love Jesus, make disciples, and bring hope to a broken world. He graduated from Clemson in 2009 (B.A. - Communication Studies) and from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2014 (M.Div.). After serving as a GLINK resident from 2010-2012, Jason worked in college, young adult, and youth ministries at churches in South Carolina and Texas before joining Crosspoint again in 2022. Jason married his best friend, Elizabeth, in 2012.

Ryan Heard | Director of Small Groups & Men's EQUIP

Ryan is passionate about helping people connect to biblical community, grow to be more like Jesus, and reach the lost as they live on mission. He earned a B.A. in Mathematical Sciences from Clemson (2010) and a M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (2015) while serving as a Generation LINK Resident in College ministry and Communications at Crosspoint (2010-2015). He married his beautiful best friend, Spencer Caroline, in 2019 and they welcomed their daughter, Audrey Beth, in 2021.

Caleb Morgan | Student Minister

Caleb serves as the Student Minister. Having grown up in student ministry as the son of a student pastor, he believes that relationships are the key to reaching students and instilling a life-long love for Christ and his Church. Caleb is a graduate of Union University in Jackson, TN where he graduated with a B.S. in Communication Studies in 2019, and he is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Christian Studies through Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. While attending Union, Caleb met his wife Gabby, and in June 2020 they got married before moving to Clemson later that summer. In his free time, Caleb loves fellowshipping with friends, drinking coffee, going to the movies, and watching football and basketball.

Ronnie Morris | Worship Minister

Ronnie longs to see God’s people worshiping Him in spirit and truth in all facets of their lives. He helps to make this a reality through serving as Crosspoint’s Worship Minister. Shortly after Ronnie graduated from Clemson (2004), he served as a Generation LINK Resident with Crosspoint for four years as Crosspoint’s Worship Leader. He earned an M.Div. in Christian Ministry (2011) as well as a Th.M. in Biblical Counseling (2017) from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Ronnie is married to Allison, and they have three children: Tripp, Kline, and Della, and a dog named Tiger.

Evan Ward | Kids Minister

Evan serves as the Kids Minister. Evan graduated from Clemson University in 2020, receiving a B.A. in Elementary Education. Over his four years at Clemson he was a part of the college ministry at Crosspoint and would describe this time as foundational in his walk with the Lord as he sat under the preached word and experienced discipleship like never before. He was able to be a part of SummerLINK Prague in 2018 and SummerLINK Ann Arbor in 2019. Looking back at the impact that this ministry played in his own life, Evan joined Generation LINK as a college ministry resident in 2020. As year two of his residency kicks off, Evan is utilizing his experience in education by serving with Crosppoint’s Kids ministry in 2021. Evan desires to see the gospel go forth through families, and the local church, so that many would trust in Christ. Evan loves spending time with his wife, Ellison, exploring the upstate, and building whatever he can.

Sheila Campbell | Financial Administrator

Sheila is the financial administrator in the Crosspoint office. Her desire is to show Christ's love to others through her daily life at work and in the community. She enjoys serving in the cafe and nursery here at Crosspoint. Sheila has been married to her husband Richey since 1991. She has a son named Lane and a daughter named Brianna.

Roddy Campbell | Maintenance Supervisor

Roddy is a retired general contractor who is using his talents to maintain the Crosspoint facility. Roddy is married to Cheryl Campbell. Together they have seven adult children and 19 grandchildren. He and Cheryl are members of Grace Baptist Church in Seneca.

Rachel Ledbetter | Communications

Rachel is passionate about serving the local church through graphic design, video, and social media. Rachel graduated with a degree in Cinematography, and she loves supporting the mission of the church and GenerationLINK creatively. Some of her greatest joys are being wife to Matt, mom to her littles, and using her home in a way that seeks to make strangers neighbors, and neighbors family of God.

Emily Thompson | Administrative Assistant

Emily graduated from Clemson University with a B.A. in Elementary Education. She began attending Crosspoint five years ago when she moved to Clemson for school and has since fallen in love with the community that she has found here. Since being at Crosspoint, Emily has grown in her passion of showing the love of the Lord through helping others. In her free time, Emily loves doing anything outside (except when it's cold), reading and finding new hobbies.

Emily Squires | Communications, Administrative Assistant & Membership Coordinator

Emily graduated in May 2021 from Clemson University with a degree in Graphic Communications and is passionate about using her degree and the gifts God has given her to serve the church through graphic design, print and media team. She enjoys working behind the scenes to serve our members and guests. Outside of work, Emily loves spending time outdoors with her husband, Noah, as well as art, reading, and time with family and friends.

Emmanuel Elrod | Student & Mercy Ministries

Emmanuel is a first year Generation LINK resident. Emmanuel is excited for the opportunity to pursue full-time ministry and to continue working in the community and in the lives of teens at Crosspoint. He is currently pursuing a BA in Pastoral Ministry with a future hope of pursuing Biblical Counseling. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports (mainly basketball), movies and playing video games.

John is a first year Generation LINK resident serving in college ministry and EQUIP. John graduated from Clemson in December of 2021 with a degree in Sports Communication, and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity in Preaching and Pastoral Ministry at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. John is passionate about reaching the lost with the gospel. In his free time, he enjoys playing disc golf, wiffleball, basketball, and just about anything else that allows him to be outside.

Abbey Jensen | Image Bearers & International Ministries

Abbey is a first year Generation LINK resident serving with Image Bearers & International Student Ministry. Abbey is excited to transition to full-time ministry after gaining a year of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician for kids with autism. She has a heart for listening to people’s life stories and loving the broken-hearted. She enjoys cooking, baking, going for walks (especially at the dikes), watching movies with her husband, Jacob, and getting coffee with an old or new friend!

Josh Rives | College Ministry

Josh “Juice” Rives is a Generation LINK serving with the College and Worship Ministry. During his time studying Material Science and Engineering at Clemson University, Josh was involved in Crosspoint’s college ministry. He is excited to invest in college students and to lead in worshipping God through song. During his free time, Juice likes to read books, drink coffee, and watch movies and basketball (but not basketball movies).

Malory Sanders | College Ministry & Connect

Malory is a Generation LINK resident serving with the College Ministry and Sunday morning Connect. After graduating from Clemson in 2016 she stayed in Clemson on staff with Campus Outreach at the university before transitioning to the residency at Crosspoint this year. She has a passion for discipling women and creating environments where people feel the freedom to be authentic and transparent. In her free time she loves to do anything competitive - play cards, sports, ride bikes, etc. She will start working towards a MA in Chrisian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary this August.

Hannah Sarver | College & International Ministries

Hannah is a Generation LINK resident serving in college student ministry and international ministry. She graduated from Clemson University in May 2022 with a degree in Environmental Engineering and will be working towards a Master of Arts in Christian Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Hannah is passionate about seeing people from every tribe, tongue, and nation come to know and love Jesus. Her interests include hiking, rock climbing, camping, trying food from different cultures, and having deep conversations with friends.

Josh is passionate about equipping and mobilizing students to be on mission in their daily life. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Christian Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. In his free time, he likes to rock climb, play guitar, and spend time with friends.

Noah Squires | Worship & Student Ministries

Noah is serving in his third year as a Generation LINK resident. He married his beautiful wife Emily in May 2019, and they are expecting their first child in the coming weeks. He is taking classes in response to his calling to vocational church ministry while continuing in the Residency. Noah is excited to be serving in NextGen worship Ministry and student ministry this year. For fun, Noah enjoys disc golf, reading (especially Lord of the Rings), music, and spending time with family and friends.

Ellison Ward | Kids Ministry

Ellison is a second year Generation LINK resident serving with Kids ministry. She graduated from Clemson University in 2020, with a B.A. in Elementary Education. Before starting Generation LINK, Ellison taught 3rd grade where her heart for sharing the eternal hope of Christ with children grew. She is excited for the next year of opportunities to work with kids ministry in order to equip the next generation and their families with the gospel. Ellison loves spending time with her husband, Evan, hiking and reading.

Thomas Welch | College Ministry

Thomas is a second year resident of Generation LINK serving with the college ministry and a graduate of Clemson University in Religious Studies. He has a heart for equipping the people of God as well as evangelizing the lost. Thomas loves to compete; he plays spikeball, basketball, pickleball,disc golf, and more. He is married to Haylee who graduated from Auburn University in Early Childhood Education. Haylee has a heart for caring for children and teaching them the truths of Scripture. Thomas also loves to cook, sing, play guitar, dance, make people laugh, and to hang out with his friends and wife.

Justin Blakley | Deacon

Justin is a financial advisor with Edward Jones in Pickens. Justin is married to Erin and they have three children, Elijah (2009), Selah (2013) and Karis (2015). The Blakleys are currently involved in a small group meeting in Six Mile and have served in the worship and children's ministry for several years. Justin earned a BA (Church Music) from North Greenville College as well as a MA (Church Music) and DMin (Christian Leadership) from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Justin also previously served full-time in worship ministry for 12 years.

Greg Brock | Deacon

Greg is the Business Center Manager of multiple departments in Brackett Hall at Clemson University. He has been married to Deborah for 37 years. They have been doing marriage enrichment conference with Lifeway Christian Resources and pre-marital counseling for over 25 years. Their adult daughter, Kathrine works in the music business in Nashville, TN. The Brocks host a College Small Group in Pendleton and have been blessed to participate in multiple mission trips with their CP family. Greg is an ordained minister and previously served on staff at Remount Baptist Church in Charleston as the Associate for Community Ministry.

David Conner | Deacon

David came to repentance and faith in Christ at the age of 13. David has been married to Julie for 40 years and has four grown children: Kimberly, Andrew, Daniel and Stephen. David and Julie moved to Keowee Key from Johns Creek, Georgia (Atlanta) over 6 years ago and have been active members of Crosspoint since July of 2015. David recently retired in June of 2020. At Crosspoint, David has been serving as a member of the Financial Controls Team for the last two years, provides backup leadership for his small group, and has served in several other ministries. Previously, David had leadership roles in two church plants and taught adult and children’s Sunday School. David was also an active Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Duluth, Georgia for 15 years. David earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech and had a 40-year career as an electrical engineer and management consultant.

Mike Dempsey | Deacon

Mike was born and raised in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. Mike and Susan met during college and were married shortly after his graduation from Georgia Tech. His first job took them to New Orleans, LA. They moved fifteen times around the country associated with his business transfers and job changes. The moves provided opportunities to serve in a number of churches as a deacon, teacher and on a number of church committees. After retirement, Mike and Susan moved to Seneca in 2014. They have three married sons, Chris, Danny and Mark and five grandchildren, Isla, Graham, Caleb, Mason and Maya. Shortly after moving to Seneca Mike and Susan joined Crosspoint and have been active in a small group and teach in the children’s ministry. Mike also serves on Crosspoint’s Financial Controls Team.

Matt Higginbotham | Deacon

Matt retired from the US Army after serving for 26 years. Matt is married to Shaley and they have two sons, Travis (1989) and Nathaniel (1997). The Higginbotham’s lead a Small Group at CP Church and have been involved in family ministries for several years. Matt earned a BS in Business from the Citadel, a MA in Human Resources Development from Webster University, and a MMAS from the Command and General Staff College. After retiring, Matt served as a JROTC instructor at Pickens HS, a Substitute Teacher in Oconee School District, and now works in the main office at Daniel HS.

Adam Hunter | Deacon

Adam provides oversight for all events involving feeding the masses. He works at Clemson University and has been a member of Crosspoint since 2008. Adam and his wife, Erin, met in high school and were married 6 years later. They have three daughters: their oldest Kayleigh (2012), and twins Emmie and Adalynn (2017).

Matt Ledbetter | Deacon

Matt Ledbetter works in the finance department at Greenfield Industries in Seneca. Matt is married to Rachel and they have three children, Levi (2017), Wilson (2019), and Alice (2021). The Ledbetter’s host a College Small Group in Central and have been involved in Finance, Family Ministries, and Communications. Matt served with the Financial Controls team from 2017-2019. Matt earned a BS in Accounting from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. Matt is a licensed CPA and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Matt is passionate about supporting the ministry of the local church and investing in the next generation, and is an avid fan of all things Clemson athletics.

Austin Meares | Deacon

Austin is a local production homebuilder. Austin married Katherine in 2017, and has one child (Jason, born May 2021). The Meares are a part of the Jackson small group, and have served with high school youth. Austin earned a BS in Construction Science and Management from Clemson.

Matt Minto | Deacon

Matt is a Sr. HR Manager for TTI Floor Care. Matt is married to Amber, and they have two children, Lennox (5) and Lucca (2). The Mintos are a part of the Denton Small Group in Clemson. Matt currently serves in Kids Worship and, in the past, has led a Small Group, taught Equip Classes, and has served in Youth Ministry. Matt earned a BS in Safety & Environmental Management from Slippery Rock University. Matt and Amber moved to the Upstate for work in 2011 and have been at Crosspoint since the second week of relocating.

Steve Yost | Deacon

Steve is a retired family physician who volunteers at local free clinics and is a candidate for deacon. He has been married to Judy for 42 years, has 2 married daughters and 3 grandkids. He lives on Lake Keowee and helps lead a small group of empty nesters who meet in homes in the Seneca area. He has previously assisted with a college small group and enjoys using his lake resources for gatherings. Over the past 37 years, he has been privileged to serve intermittently as a deacon in previous churches.
