In addition to Crosspoint’s weekly gathering for worship on Sundays, Crosspoint’s primary vehicle for fellowship and discipleship is Small Groups.

Crosspoint also creates opportunities to gather in other settings for growth, fellowship, and outreach.  These opportunities are mostly intergenerational, bringing old and young together to encourage and learn from each other.

Sunday morning Discipleship Seminars, one-on-one discipleship, prayer groups, men’s and women’s retreats, the annual Restore Conference, and other special events provide further opportunities for us to grow deeper and stronger as a fellowship and expand influence for the gospel into the community.

Nursery

The Nursery ministry is for all children from newborns through age 2 and is available during all worship gatherings.  It is our desire to come alongside parents in nurturing the faith of their children.  Our responsibility is to model and teach Biblical truth in an attitude of frequent prayer, Biblical and God-centered storytelling, and worship.  Psalm 78:1-11 is the basis the nursery ministry at Crosspoint.

Children

Crosspoint KIDS exists to come alongside parents to:

Impart the truth of God’s Word to children

Encourage faith in children

Lead children to actively participate in the purposes of God

SUNDAY MORNING OPPORTUNITIES

Boys and girls will experience a great time of age-appropriate worship and teaching from God’s Word each Sunday morning. Come by the Crosspoint KIDS counter to check-in your child and receive your security sticker. Thank you for allowing us the privilege of ministering to your family in this important season of your child’s life!

Infants & Toddlers
 – Caring members from our congregation who have a love for the next generation are eager to welcome you and your child to Worship by providing care for your child in a loving and safe environment.  Children in the 2’s class will be taught formative truths from God’s Word.

3 years – 3rd Grade
 – These children are invited to KIDS’ Worship each Sunday. Here, they will worship and learn God’s Word in a context that is applicable to their daily living. Your child will love this time to worship our Creator as he or she learns truths of our Great God through creative Bible teaching.

How can my child get involved in KIDS’ Worship?

Before worship each Sunday, drop by the Crosspoint KIDS Counter to register your child. After receiving your security sticker, your child will remain with you through the beginning of the worship service.  Prior to the message, you’ll see a slide on the screen with the Crosspoint KIDS logo on it.  At that time, the boys and girls will proceed toward the front to meet their teachers at the exit doors on the left side of the auditorium.  Following the service, please have your security sticker ready and exit out the doors to the left of the auditorium and pick your child up at the kids worship room, next to the Crosspoint KIDS counter.

KIDS CONNECTION

Kids Connection Registration-01

Kids’ Connection is a high-energy discipleship evening for boys & girls.  Kids’ Connection meets during the school year for kids 3 years old through 5th grade.  Parents can check in their children each Sunday night at 5:00pm at the Crosspoint KIDS counter and can pick them up at the same place at 7:00pm.  Featuring a great time for kids to have fun & fellowship with one another, your child will be taught God’s Word and equipped to treasure Christ above all. Dinner is provided each week. Kids who regularly attend are encouraged to wear their class’s Kids Connection t-shirt, which is included in an annual registration of $10. Contact Gabe Bolding for more information.

With half of our members being college students, Crosspoint’s college ministry is a major part of our church. Living in a predominantly college town, we desire to be faithful stewards of the gospel and reach the thousands of college students living all around us.

In August 2010, the Deaf Ministry at Crosspoint Church began with a deaf couple: Ann and Lamar Bayne of Pickens, SC.  They were looking for a church where they could attend and as they indicated, “A place where we could worship God.”  In light of this need, the ministry was birthed.  Alton Brant (professor of American Sign Language [ASL] at Clemson University), along with four Clemson University ASL students (Erica Bieri, Lauren Brock, Heather Mack, and Chase Womick) began the interpreting ministry for the 9:00 am Sunday Worship Service.

In January 2011, a Small Group was established with 4 deaf individuals who meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm, Room 130.  If you are interested in joining either the Deaf Ministry interpreted worship or the Small Group, please make plans to visit with us.  If you cannot join us, but have a passion for reaching the Deaf Community for Christ, please pray along with us.

For more information, contact Alton Brant.

Local Missions

It is our desire to equip Crosspoint members to serve our neighbors in word and deed as an outward expression of the mercy we have received from Jesus Christ. As Christ radically transforms our lives, it is our prayer that our community would be radically transformed by the gospel.

As a church, we have gathered together throughout the year for days and even weeks of serving our community through Hope for Clemson. During Hope for Clemson, our church aims to display and declare the gospel of Jesus Christ through various service opportunities.

Church Planting

We believe church planting is one of the most effective means for spreading the Gospel, so we actively support church plants across the country. Currently we are helping:

    • The Church at Cherrydale in Greenville, SC

    • Redemption Hill Church in Boston, MA

    • Essential Church in Seattle, WA

    • Renewal Church of Anderson in Anderson, SC

International Missions

When Jesus told the church to make disciples of all nations, he meant is. As we strive to be faithful to this commission, we support:

G. Family and Children (South Asia)

Generation LINK

Generation LINK is an intense discipleship program which offers one year opportunities to serve God through the local church. Our goal is to equip the next generation of Laborers to Impact the Nations for the Kingdom by training and sending international disciple-makers for life. Learn more about Generation LINK

We exist to partner with parents in developing students into fully devoted followers of Christ by Connecting them to God, to Others, and to the World.

Connect to God:

Awaken is our Sunday night youth gathering from 5-7pm in room 180. Students 6th-12th Grade come together for dinner, corporate worship and large group teaching from God’s Word. We wrap the night up with grade and gender divided discussion groups to help us apply the scriptures to our lives.

Connect to the Church:

Equip is our small group ministry and is the next step in our discipleship process. We meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00pm. Middle School and High School groups meet at different locations to study God’s word, and share life together.

Connect to the World:

God’s grace compels us to bring the gospel to those who have not heard. Jesus in fact commands his followers to go into all the world and make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20). Students will have opportunities through out the year to participate in various service and outreach opportunities as we seek to reach Clemson and ultimately the world with the life redeeming message of the gospel.
