Jeremy Chasteen
Jeremy is passionate about mobilizing laborers to see churches planted globally. He has a B.A. in Business Administration from East Carolina University (1995) and a M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (2006). Before helping plant Crosspoint Church, he served on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ in Clemson, SC, Slovakia, and Raleigh, NC. He is the Executive Generation LINK Director and serves on the Board of the Pillar network. He married Liz in 1999 and they have four children: Carson (2004), Bryn (2006), Lydia (2008), and Spencer (2011). Liz is a stay-at-home mom and also enjoys mentoring women and encouraging our missions partners.

Ryan Heard
Fellowship Pastor
Ryan’s heart is to see the church thrive by helping people connect, grow, care, and live on mission together. He loves teaching God’s word and has the privilege of overseeing several aspects of Crosspoint’s fellowship, including assimilation, membership, small groups, and Men’s Equip. Ryan earned a B.A. in Mathematical Sciences from Clemson (2010) and an M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (2015) while serving as a Generation LINK Resident in College Ministry and Communications. He is married to his best friend, Spencer Caroline, and they have two children: Audrey Beth (2021) and Grayson (2023). -
Will Jackson
Equipping Pastor
Will’s passion is to see Christians equipped and sent on mission as multipliers for God’s expanding Kingdom. Will oversees Crosspoint's strategies for teaching, training, and resourcing and leads the Operations team. He has earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Clemson (2011), a M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (2015), and a Ph.D. in Theological Studies with a concentration in Systematic Theology through Southeastern (2022). Will has previously served as an Industrial Engineer, as a Generation LINK Resident, and now teaches as an Adjunct Professor with Southeastern. Will met his wife, Kimberly, in middle school and they were married 13 years later (2013). They have a son, Miles (2019) and a daughter, Emma (2021). -
Ken Lewis
Legacy Ministry Pastor
Ken is committed to preach and teach God’s word to the body of Christ. Prior to planting Crosspoint Church, Ken served as senior pastor of West Asheville Baptist Church in Asheville, NC (6 years) and Pisgah Forest Baptist Church in Brevard, NC (4.5 years). Pastor Ken graduated from Clemson University (1983) and from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (1989) with his M.Div. While attending seminary, Ken met his wife, Robin Shealy, who earned her MDiv (1988). Ken and Robin married in May of 1988 and have three sons: Daniel, Caleb and Matt. -
Gabe Bolding
Gabe has spent his entire life in the Six Mile community, just north of Clemson. Gabe was convicted of his sin and surrendered to Christ as Lord and Savior while attending Clemson University in 2003. Growing up in a tight-knit community with a large loving family helped Gabe see the value of relational community and he desires to see Crosspoint continue to be a relational congregation. Gabe and his wife Aleesha met on Easter Sunday in 2003 and were married in 2005. They have 3 children, Lillie (2009), Annie (2014) and Gill (2017). Gabe graduated with a B.A. in Christian Studies (2006) and an M.A. in Apologetics (2009) from Luther Rice Seminary in Lithonia, GA. Having served on staff at local churches as Youth Pastor and Minister of Music, Gabe currently serves at Crosspoint as Director of Kids Connection. Gabe works at Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative in Pickens. He loves spending time with his large extended family and enjoys football, farming, teaching his kids about trout fishing, and making homemade ice cream.

Matt Denton
Lay Pastor
Matt grew up in Kingsport, TN, and repented of sin and turned to Christ at the age of 8 - led to Christ by his father. After graduating from Clemson University in 2007, he served on staff with Generation LINK for three years with college ministry and one year as a Pastoral Assistant. He married Tara Kneece in 2010 and they have three children: Andrew, Rett, and Emery Kate. He holds both a B.S. & M.S. in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and also a M.Div. in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He currently works as a structural engineer at Wood in Greenville. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching football, coffee, running, hunting/fishing, or reading. -
John Henschen
Lay Pastor
John grew up in New Knoxville, OH and is currently an accountant at Payne, White & Schmutz CPA in Seneca. After graduating from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Family Financial Management, he served on staff with Athletes in Action, the sports ministry of Cru, ministering to collegiate and professional athletes and coaches until 2016. Following his time at AIA, John served with Generation LINK at Crosspoint for three years, working with small groups and EQUIP. While serving with Generation LINK, he received his M.A. in Christian Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. John has been married to his wife Courtney since 2010 and they have five children: Ainsley (2011), Millie (2013), Luke (2015), Wade (2017), and Evelyn (2020). -
Matt Ledbetter
Lay Pastor
Matt is married to Rachel, and they have five children: Levi (2017), Wilson (2019), Alice (2021), and the twins, Kenny & Noah (2023). The Ledbetters lead a small group in Central and serve with Crosspoint’s student ministry. Matt also serves as a deacon for financial stewardship. As the son of a church planter, Matt is passionate about supporting the ministry of the local church and investing in the next generation. He works in a local manufacturing company's finance department and loves being outdoors with his family, Clemson athletics, and quality hangouts with friends. -
Matt Reeves
Lay Pastor
Matt has been married to his wife, Jill, since 2001, and they have three children: Madeline (2004), Samuel (2006), and Willow (2009). Since joining Crosspoint in 2013, Matt and Jill have hosted small groups and served in the youth group. Matt currently helps facilitate Crosspoint’s partnerships with like-minded churches in Cuba. A graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Matt began his career in ministry, serving for four years on staff with Cru at the University of Tennessee. Since transitioning to the construction industry in 2004, Matt now helps lead a local residential construction company and is a licensed realtor. Matt loves spending time with his family, watching and discussing all Clemson sports, and enjoying all lake-related activities. -
Jason Smith
Lay Pastor
Jason is married to Susan, and they have two daughters, Rowan (2012) and Campbell (2013). After their first daughter, Emerson Rose (2011), died from a congenital heart defect at 2 ½ months old, they started the Emerson Rose Heart Foundation to share the gospel and serve children with CHDs and their families. Jason graduated in Business Administration from Southern Wesleyan University and has been an entrepreneur most of his career. Jason previously served as a Crosspoint elder from 2015 until 2021, when Crosspoint sent the Smiths to help plant a church in Charleston, SC. Jason loves the bride of Christ and longs to see the day our Savior returns and makes all things new. -
Mark Welborn
Lay Pastor
Mark grew up in Pickens, SC and graduated from Clemson in 1981 with a degree in Business Administration. Mark married Cathy in 1983 and the Lord has blessed them with three children: Ashley, Ben, and Adam. Overflowing from a love for God’s Word, the Lord has given Mark a deep love for the local church. In 2005, Mark and Cathy played a pivotal role in the planting of Crosspoint Church by committing to relocate their family with the Lewis’s to Clemson to help start Crosspoint Church.

Abbey Cook
Ministry Strategy Director &
Generation LINK Assistant DirectorAbbey is thankful for the privilege to serve in a variety of roles. She has a passion for helping Crosspoint disciple women throughout all stages of life and see the gospel transform their lives, grow in their love for God and His Word, and be equipped in biblical womanhood as it relates to others, the church, and the home. Abbey holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies from the College at Southeastern and an M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. She enjoys hanging out with friends, being outside, having a good cup of coffee, reading, and traveling.

Jason Elvington
College Minister
Jason's desire is to see college students love Jesus, make disciples, and bring hope to a broken world. He graduated from Clemson in 2009 (B.A. - Communication Studies) and from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2014 (M.Div.). After serving as a GLINK resident from 2010-2012, Jason worked in college, young adult, and youth ministries at churches in South Carolina and Texas before joining Crosspoint again in 2022. Jason married his best friend, Elizabeth, in 2012. -
Caleb Morgan
Caleb serves as the Student Minister. Having grown up in student ministry as the son of a student pastor, he believes that relationships are the key to reaching students and instilling a life-long love for Christ and his Church. Caleb attended Union University in Jackson, TN where he graduated with a B.S. in Communication Studies in 2019. He is also a graduate of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, with a Master of Arts in Christian Studies. Caleb and his wife, Gabby, have one daughter, Amelia. In his free time, Caleb loves fellowshipping with friends, drinking coffee, going to the movies, and watching football and basketball.

Ronnie Morris
Worship Minister
Ronnie longs to see God’s people worshiping Him in spirit and truth in all facets of their lives. He helps to make this a reality through serving as Crosspoint’s Worship Minister. Shortly after Ronnie graduated from Clemson (2004), he served as a Generation LINK Resident with Crosspoint for four years as Crosspoint’s Worship Leader. He earned an M.Div. in Christian Ministry (2011) as well as a Th.M. in Biblical Counseling (2017) from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Ronnie is married to Allison, and they have three children: Tripp, Kline, and Della, and a dog named Tiger. -
Evan Ward
Student Minister
Evan joyfully serves as the Kids Minister at Crosspoint, striving to partner with families and make disciples of the next generation. Evan graduated from Clemson University in 2020, receiving a B.A. in Elementary Education. Over his four years at Clemson, he was part of Crosspoint's college and kids ministry and would describe this time as foundational in his walk with the Lord. After graduating, Evan joined Crosspoint’s staff as a Generation LINK resident and became the Kids Minister in August 2022. Evan married his wife Ellison in 2021, and they have one son and another baby on the way.

Sheila Campbell
Sheila is the financial administrator in the Crosspoint office. Her desire is to show Christ's love to others through her daily life at work and in the community. She enjoys serving in the cafe and nursery here at Crosspoint. Sheila has been married to her husband Richey since 1991. She has an adult son, daughter, and son-in-law.

Nate Farrar
Facilities Manager
Nate is thankful for the opportunity to serve God’s church as the Facilities Manager at Crosspoint Church. Nate previously worked as the manager of Radiology and Cardiology services at Oconee Memorial Hospital. He earned a bachelors degree from Carson-Newman College in 1983 and a MHA from the University of South Carolina in 1987. He is married to Nancy who works as a Nurse Practitioner for Providence Home Care. They have two children, Patrick (deceased) and Kayla and three grandchildren. -
Emily Squires
Communications, Administrative Assistant & Membership Coordinator
Emily graduated in May 2021 from Clemson University with a degree in Graphic Communications and is passionate about using her degree and the gifts God has given her to serve the church. She enjoys working behind the scenes to serve our members and guests. Emily married her husband, Noah, in 2019, and they have one daughter, Elanor (2022). Outside of work, Emily enjoys hanging out with family and friends, reading, spending time outdoors, and art.

Will Adams
College Ministry & Media
Will is a second year Generation LINK resident. He graduated from Clemson in May 2023, while there he studied political science. However his true passion and heart is for the Lord, and he is pursuing an MDIV in Christian ministry from Southeastern. Will loves evangelism and is eager to see those far from Christ to be reconciled to Him and he wants to equip others for this end. Apart from this Will enjoys CrossFit, reading anything he can get his hands on, and jamming to music while driving. He’s excited to see what the Lord will do this year.

Emmanuel Elrod
College Ministry & Mercy
Emmanuel is a third year Generation LINK resident. Emmanuel is excited for the opportunity to pursue full-time ministry and to continue working in the community and in the lives of teens at Crosspoint. He is currently pursuing a BA in Pastoral Ministry with a future hope of pursuing Biblical Counseling. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports (mainly basketball), movies and playing video games. -
Abby Krasselt
College Ministry & Administrative Assistant
Abby is a Generation LINK resident serving with the College Ministry and Sunday Morning Connect. She graduated from Clemson University in May 2024 after studying Philosophy and Political Legal Theory. Now, she is working towards an M.A. in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Abby is passionate about discipling college girls, encouraging them to pursue Christ daily, and building environments that foster that pursuit. She loves trying new hobbies and continuing old ones in her free time. She’s been exploring watercolor painting, playing guitar and piano, and playing Mario Kart on the Wii.

Malory is a Generation LINK resident serving with the College Ministry and Sunday morning Connect. After graduating from Clemson in 2016 she stayed in Clemson on staff with Campus Outreach at the university before transitioning to the residency at Crosspoint this year. She has a passion for discipling women and creating environments where people feel the freedom to be authentic and transparent. In her free time she loves to do anything competitive - play cards, sports, ride bikes, etc. She is working towards a MA in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. -
Hannah Sarver
Groups, Assimilation, & Women’s Equip
Hannah is a Generation LINK resident serving with Small Groups, Assimilation, and Women’s Equip. She graduated from Clemson University in May 2022 with a degree in Environmental Engineering and is working towards a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Hannah loves seeing how God advances His kingdom through the expression of the local church. She enjoys CrossFit, the outdoors, going on long walks, and trying food from other cultures. -

Abby is a first-year Generation LINK resident serving with the Student Ministry and Communications team. She graduated from Anderson in May 2024 with a degree in Communications: Public Relations and is working towards a Masters in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Abby is passionate about seeing students come to know the Lord as their personal Savior and discipling young women. She loves going on walks, fun coffee shops, and cooking. -
Kelsey Weber
Kids Ministry
Kelsey is a first year Generation LINK resident. She graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Genetics. Kelsey is passionate about helping others realize their potential in Christ and using their giftings to serve the Kingdom. She is delighted to join the Kids Ministry team this year and help encourage the next generation. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys being outdoors, playing games, reading, cooking, and enjoying the simple things in life. Kelsey will be marrying her best friend, Ronnie, in November 2024 and is so excited to begin a life doing ministry with him. -
Gracie Wells
College Ministry & ASL
Gracie is a third-year Generation LINK resident with a focus on College ministry. Gracie graduated from Clemson University with a B.A. in Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Christian Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Gracie is passionate about the local church and how God works in and through it. Gracie is deeply encouraged by healthy church-planting and longs to see people from all backgrounds transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. In her free time, Gracie likes to cook food, read books, and exercise, usually not all at once (depending on the vigor of the recipe being attempted).

Chris Barton
Deacon
Chris is married to Karen, and they have four adult children: Anna, married to Albert Tzeng, with two sons, Noah and Isaac; Amy, married to Evan Dunker, with children Carson and Madeleine; Laurie, who lives in Atlanta; and Carrie, married to Matt Green, and they are expecting their first child. Chris is a Product Research Engineer for Michelin, where he has worked since 2001. He worked for Jacob’s Chuck in Clemson for eight years before that. Chris and Karen have been at Crosspoint since the Fall of 2020. They lead a Small Group and serve with the bookstore. -
Alton Brant
Deacon
Alton (AB) is a retired Emeritus Professor of ASL at Clemson. He completed his Ed.D. in Special Education Administration in 1986 (USC). He has served as a teacher, administrator, and advisor to many institutions and agencies serving the Deaf. He has been a guest lecturer to the Czech Republic, Gaza, and Russia. He has been a member of Crosspoint for 14 years, former Director for TriState Deaf School of Theology, consultant for the BGEA, and served as Liaison for the SC Baptist Conference for the Deaf. A child of deaf parents, he has been a RID certified interpreter of the Deaf since 1975. His bride of 48 years is Ginny Brant. They have 3 sons and 4 grandchildren. -
David Conner
Deacon
David came to repentance and faith in Christ at the age of 13. David has been married to Julie for 40 years and has four grown children: Kimberly, Andrew, Daniel and Stephen. David and Julie moved to Keowee Key from Johns Creek, Georgia (Atlanta) over 6 years ago and have been active members of Crosspoint since July of 2015. David recently retired in June of 2020. At Crosspoint, David has been serving as a member of the Financial Controls Team for the last two years, provides backup leadership for his small group, and has served in several other ministries. Previously, David had leadership roles in two church plants and taught adult and children’s Sunday School. David was also an active Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Duluth, Georgia for 15 years. David earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech and had a 40-year career as an electrical engineer and management consultant. -
Rick Freeman
Deacon
Rick is a retired engineer who worked for Michelin for 27 years. He has been married to Betsy for 46 years, has two married children, Katie and David, and two grandchildren, Elijah and Miriam. He lives on Lake Keowee and has been in small group leadership at Crosspoint for over 14 years. Rick served as an active deacon in his church in Spartanburg before moving to Clemson. Rick and Betsy have held many college ministry retreats, GLINK gatherings, and staff retreats in their home. Organizing painting at the church, going on short term mission trips, and helping with church related projects has enabled Rick to serve during his 17 years as a member of Crosspoint.

Steve Gourdin
Deacon
Steve has been married to Leslie for close to 25 years. They have two daughters: Miriam (12) and Emma (10). Steve studied Mechanical Engineering at Clemson and lived in the South Carolina lowcountry for almost ten years before he and Leslie moved back to the Clemson area in 2004. Steve is the Maintenance and Sustainability Manager at Sandvik Coromant, a manufacturing facility in Westminster. The Gourdins have been at Crosspoint for three years and are part of the Jackson Small Group. Steve currently serves with the audio tech team and Connect ministry. -
Daniel "Jeb" Holden
Deacon
Jeb is an Industrial Engineer for Michelin. Jeb married Taylor in 2018, and they are expecting their first child this summer. Jeb and Taylor both grew up in Pickens County and came to Crosspoint in 2021. The Holdens are a part of the Bolding Small Group in Six Mile, and they have served in Kids Connection for the past two years. Jeb earned a BS in Business Administration from North Greenville University. -
Austin Meares
Deacon
Austin is a local production homebuilder. Originally from Pawleys Island, he moved to the Clemson area in 2013. He married Katherine in 2017, and has two children (Jason, born 2021; and Thomas, born 2023). The Meares are a part of the Ledbetters’ small group. Austin earned a BS in Construction Science and Management from Clemson. He enjoys working on facilities projects around the church, operating heavy equipment when he gets a chance, and showing his sons how to fix old tractors.

Tyler Miers
Deacon
Tyler is an Agency Field Executive for State Farm. Tyler is married to Katie, and they have three children, McKinley (10), Davis (8), and Emmy (5). The Miers are a part of the Meisenheimer Small Group in Clemson. Tyler currently serves in the areas of Men’s Equip and with the Worship Team and Katie serves in Kids Ministry as well as helps direct VBS. Tyler earned a BS in Marketing from Auburn University and is currently getting his Masters in Biblical and Theological studies. Tyler enjoys music, golf, hiking, coaching softball and being with family and friends. Tyler and Katie moved to Clemson for work in 2016 and have been at Crosspoint since then! -
Joe Tanner
Deacon
Joe works in Learning & Development for Hitachi Solutions, a software consulting firm. He is married to Melicia, and they adopted Mia (1) in 2023. The Tanners co-lead a Seneca-based Small Group with Adam and Erin Hunter. Joe currently serves in Student Ministry and Connect, having served in Kids Connection in the past. Joe earned a BS in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University in 2013. He has been at Crosspoint since his sophomore year of college, with Melicia joining prior to their engagement.

Martin Tiller
Deacon
Martin is a small business leader with Event Rentals, Orange Real Estate, & Orange Property Management. Martin is married to Teal, and they have three children, Rose (8), Grady (6), and Micah (4). They are also a licensed foster family. The Tillers lead a Small Group at their house in Clemson. Martin currently serves in the nursery with Teal and, in the past, has served in the Youth Ministry, on the Safety Team, and Financial Controls Team. Martin earned a BS in Financial Management w/ Minor in Accounting from Clemson University. Martin and Teal moved to Clemson from Spartanburg following their Clemson graduations in 2010 & 2012 respectively and have been at Crosspoint since 2009 as undergraduates at Clemson. -
Steve Yost
Deacon
Steve is a retired family physician who volunteers at local free clinics and serves with hospital care, widows, and shut-ins. He has been married to Judy for 42 years, has 2 married daughters and 3 grandkids. He lives on Lake Keowee and helps lead a small group of empty nesters who meet in homes in the Seneca area. He has previously assisted with a college small group and enjoys using his lake resources for gatherings. Over the past 37 years, he has been privileged to serve intermittently as a deacon in previous churches.
