Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing support for various ministries of the church. Above all, the Administrative Assistant will seek to honor God by assisting Crosspoint Church in its One Mission of making disciples of all people for God’s glory.

Kids Ministry Assistant

The purpose of the Kids Ministry Assistant is to support the Kids Minister in leading Crosspoint's ministry to children and families in a God-centered way that aligns with what we teach adults. The Kids Ministry Assistant will report to the Kids Minister.

  • Kids Ministry Assistant

    Purpose

    • The purpose of the Kids Ministry Assistant is to support the Kids Minister in leading Crosspoint's ministry to children and families in a God-centered way that aligns with what we teach adults. The Kids Ministry Assistant will report to the Kids Minister. 

    Position Status: Part Time - Exempt - up to 20 hours/week

    Qualifications

    • The Kids Ministry Assistant at Crosspoint Church must strive in all areas of life to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, maintaining a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. This person must possess a heart for making God's glory known among the nations. They must also be passionate about ministering to children and parents so that this generation of children at Crosspoint Church may surpass previous generations in faith, knowledge, righteousness, fruitfulness, and commitment to world evangelization.

    • The Kids Ministry Assistant must be able to work well in a team environment. This person should also excel in interpersonal skills, manage people effectively, and handle confrontation graciously. They will regularly use our church database system (CCB) and handle sensitive personal information, and should do so with the utmost responsibility and care. Finally, this person must also be competent with Google Workspace, including but not limited to Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Gmail, and Google Calendar. 

    Responsibilities

    • Work alongside the Kids Minister to administrate and assist in supervising the operations of Crosspoint's ministry to children.

    • Oversee all church-wide Paid Childcare opportunities.

      • Recruit new workers, train them in accordance with the Kids Ministry Handbook, and manage all current workers.

      • Schedule workers, plan lessons, and gather materials for childcare events.

      • Supervise payroll tracking and reporting for Paid Childcare workers.

      • Manage event set up, room reservations, and attendance through CCB.

    • Pursue excellence in communication with staff, parents, Paid Childcare workers, Kids Ministry volunteers, guests, and community members.

    • File and organize Kids Ministry documents.

    • Be proficient in child check-in and check-out procedures as outlined in the Kids Ministry Handbook.

    • Continuously evaluate and improve infrastructure, systems, facilities, equipment, and policies to better administer this growing ministry.

    • Participate in the required staff meetings for this position.

    • Continuously improve skills and knowledge in areas of responsibility.

    • Promote the unity and synergy of the church so that God may be glorified in all things.

    • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Kids Minister.

    Generation LINK Resident

    • Residents serving with Kids Ministry will come alongside the elders and Kids Minister to accomplish our mission of Partnering with families to make disciples of the next generation. Residents will gain valuable experience working with children, volunteers, and parents. They will be entrusted with overseeing or supporting the ministry areas within Kids Ministry (Nursery, Kids Worship, Kids Connection, or Image Bearers) and grow in their communication and leadership skills.

  • Generation LINK Resident

    • The goal of a GLINK Resident in Student Ministry is to work alongside the Student Minister to help implement the strategy and mission of Crosspoint by reaching the campuses for Christ and making disciples of all nations.  Residents serving within Student Ministry will have the opportunity to lead out and be further developed in: 

      • Help implement and provide leadership and direction for Student Ministry goals,

      • Meet with, disciple, and evangelize to students; have weekly contact with students and their families (discipleship, meals, sports, etc.)

      • Help plan, coordinate, and execute student events (Sunday night gathering (180), socials, and retreats.

      • Engage with students from both on stage and behind the scenes.

      • Follow up with students and help assimilate within Crosspoint Church (membership, family assimilation, baptism, etc.)

      • Identify and equip future leaders to serve (both students and volunteers)

  • Generation LINK Resident

    • Residents serving with College Ministry will come alongside the elders and College Minister to accomplish our mission of making disciples of college students and young adults aged 18-23 in the Clemson area. Residents will gain valuable ministerial experience overseeing, supporting, and executing essential college ministry functions like College Worship, collegiate small groups, discipleship, evangelism, and event planning for outreach and socials.

      The Generation LINK Residency is an intense yearlong residency program in the local church designed to develop men and women as life-long disciple makers.     • Worship Leadership Residents will join the Worship Minister and Lead Pastor in leading Crosspoint to behold God’s glory through the gospel in our corporate worship services. Residents will pursue three areas of growth:

      • Character: Being a disciple and making disciples,

      • Conviction: Standing on sound doctrine, and

      • Competency: Mastering worship leadership skills. 

      The primary goal of the residency is to establish a firm, biblical doctrine of worship that is ready to be applied through life and ministry in the context of the local church.

    • Church-Production Residents will join the Worship Minister and Lead Pastor in leading Crosspoint to behold God’s glory through the gospel in our corporate worship services using technology and production. Residents will pursue three areas of growth:

      • Character: Being a disciple and making disciples,

      • Conviction: Standing on sound doctrine, and

      • Competency: Mastering church-production skills.  

      The primary goal of the residency is to establish a firm, biblical doctrine of worship that is ready to be applied through technology and production in the context of the local church.

  • Generation LINK Resident

    • Residents serving within Small Groups will provide both administrative and strategic support for small group strategy, help coordinate the Discovering Crosspoint, and manage visitor follow-up. Residents also assist in local missions, where they act as a liaison to mission partners, mobilize small groups for mission involvement, and coordinate local mission efforts.

    • Small Groups

      • Provide administrative and strategic support for small groups, including managing attendance, room reservations, leader training, publicity, and resource development. 

      • Coordinate Discovering Crosspoint, overseeing hospitality and materials.

      • Maintain visitor records and follow-up of Connect Cards.

    • Local Missions

      • Act as liaison to local mission partners, assessing their needs and support strategies. 

      • Facilitate involvement of small groups in local, national, and international missions, coordinating efforts across ministries.

    Responsibilities

    • Greet and Show Hospitality to any Visitor or Person on the Phone

    • Maintain the Office Phone System / Voicemail

    • Assist with Bulk Mailings

    • Assist with Mercy Ministry Data Administration and Scheduling

    • Assist with Special Events, Meetings, and Conferences

    • Champion the Church Database Software for: Facility Use Reservations, Contact Management, Background Checks, Reports, etc.

    • Unlock, Lock, and Maintain Front Office

    • Enter Weekly Data

    • Run Weekly Reports

    • Take Detailed Notes at Staff Meetings

    • Maintain Office Supplies and Equipment

    • Process All Bookstore Orders 

    • Provide Administrative support as needed for Various Ministries and Pastors.

    Education

    • Some college preferred. Relevant work experience may be sufficient.

    • The Residency in Church Operations provides exposure and experience in a host of ministry categories, including, but not limited to, Finance, Facility Management, Communications, Safety, and Human Resources. Operations Residents may be assigned to a primary focus area or rotate emphases throughout the ministry year. The Residency in Church Operations is geared specifically for developing organizational and administrative skills for the next generation of leaders in the church and marketplace.

    Part – Time Setup Crew/Custodian

    • Custodial duties typically are 4-5 hours per week with some flexibility in days worked.

    • Pay is $15 per hour.

    Part – Time Setup Crew

    • Crosspoint is in need of workers who can setup and teardown tables and chairs each week. Primarily this work will take place once on Sunday and others days during the week depending upon the need. Typically, this will require 3-5 hours each week with the potential of more hours as workers are available.

    • The church will pay crew members per job according to a simple scale (e.g. 1 -2 hour Auditorium setup – $40, 180 setup – $35, etc.).
