Operations

Part – Time Setup Crew

 

Crosspoint is in need of workers who can setup and teardown tables and chairs each week. Primarily this work will take place once on Sunday and others days during the week depending upon the need. Typically, this will require 3-5 hours each week with the potential of more hours as workers are available.

 

The church will pay crew members per job according to a simple scale (e.g. 1 -2 hour Auditorium setup – $35, 180 setup – $30, etc.).

Generation LINK Resident

 

The Generation LINK Residency is an intense yearlong residency program in the local church designed to develop men and women as life-long disciple makers. Generation LINK residents gain diverse ministry experience, valuable leadership opportunities, rigorous theological training, and intentional discipleship, all within the context of rich gospel community.

 

Generation LINK residents have immediate and significant ministry outlets to exercise what they are learning, while under the oversight of godly leadership. This allows residents to develop and work out their theology in a safe, yet challenging, context.

 

Our Residency even offers options for participants to earn a Master of Arts or a Master of Divinity degree from one of our partnering seminaries, whether through Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, or another excellent institution.

 

Residents serving with Kids Ministry will come alongside the elders and Kids Minister to accomplish our mission of Partnering with families to make disciples of the next generation. Residents will gain valuable experience working with children, volunteers, and parents. They will be entrusted with overseeing or supporting the ministry areas within Kids Ministry (Nursery, Kids Worship, Kids Connection, or Image Bearers) and grow in their communication and leadership skills.

The goal of a GLINK Resident in Student Ministry is to work alongside the Student Minister to help implement the strategy and mission of Crosspoint by reaching the campuses for Christ and making disciples of all nations.  Residents serving within Student Ministry will have the opportunity to lead out and be further developed in:

 

  •  Help implement and provide leadership and direction for Student Ministry goals,
  • Meet with, disciple, and evangelize to students; have weekly contact with students and their families (discipleship, meals, sports, etc.)
  • Help plan, coordinate, and execute student events (Sunday night gathering (180), socials, and retreats.
  •  Engage with students from both on stage and behind the scenes.
  • Follow up with students and help assimilate within Crosspoint Church (membership, family assimilation, baptism, etc.)
  •  Identify and equip future leaders to serve (both students and volunteers)

Church Life

Residents serving within Small Groups will provide both administrative and strategic support for small group strategy, help coordinate the Discovering Crosspoint, and manage visitor follow-up. Residents also assist in local missions, where they act as a liaison to mission partners, mobilize small groups for mission involvement, and coordinate local mission efforts.

 

Small Groups

  • Provide administrative and strategic support for small groups, including managing attendance, room reservations, leader training, publicity, and resource development. 
  • Coordinate Discovering Crosspoint, overseeing hospitality and materials.
  • Maintain visitor records and follow-up of Connect Cards.

 

Local Missions

  • Act as liaison to local mission partners, assessing their needs and support strategies. 
  • Facilitate involvement of small groups in local, national, and international missions, coordinating efforts across ministries.

Children’s Ministry Associate

Purpose

The purpose of the Children’s Ministry Associate is to help lead the congregation in ministry to children that will be God-centered and consistent with what we are teaching adults. More than teaching commandments and behaviors, the greatest objective is to teach children to revere God.

 

The Children’s Ministry Associate will report to the Family Ministries Pastor.

 

Position Status: Full Time Salaried– Exempt (~40 hours weekly)

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree and some theological education preferred. If applicable, relevant work experience may be sufficient.

 

Qualifications

The Children’s Ministry Associate at Crosspoint Church must be one who strives in all areas of life to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, maintaining a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

 

This person must possess a heart both for making God’s glory known among the nations and for ministering to children and parents, that this generation of children at Crosspoint Church may surpass previous generations in faith, knowledge, righteousness, fruitfulness, evangelistic zeal and commitment to world evangelization.

 

This person must also be competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive suite. They must be able to learn and utilize our church database system (CCB), and work well in a team environment.

 

Responsibilities

    • Work with Family Ministries Pastor to administrate and execute Crosspoint’s ministry to families and children (birth – 5th grade).

    • Recruit, mobilize, and train volunteers to serve in our children’s ministry in accordance with our Family Ministries Handbook. Training should include philosophy of ministry, sexual abuse awareness, age-group needs, curriculum, goals, and discipline.
    • Assist Family Ministries Pastor to train and oversee Generation LINK staff assigned to the Family Ministries team.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve infrastructure, systems, facilities, equipment, and policies to better administer this growing ministry.
    • Pursue excellence in communication with staff, parents, workers, and outsiders.
    • Continue to improve skills and knowledge in areas of responsibility through conferences and other opportunities.
    • Promote the unity and synergy of the church that God may be glorified in all things.
    • Other duties as assigned by Family Ministries Pastor.

Student Minister (High School and Middle School)

Purpose

The Student Minister is responsible for implementing the strategy and mission of Crosspoint Church while devoting primary efforts to making disciples in the middle and high school community and shepherding families of teenagers. Above all, the Student Minister will seek to honor God in helping Crosspoint develop and send the next generation of laborers in an effort to accomplish the One Mission — to make disciples of all people for God’s glory.

 

Position Status: Full Time Salaried– Exempt (~40 hours weekly)

 

Qualifications

In particular, the Student Minister will demonstrate:

  • A heart for Christian discipleship and multiplication of disciple-makers.
  • A gifting in leadership and the ability to develop future leaders.
  • A desire to relationally connect with high school students, middle school students and their parents.
  • A proven ability in verbal communication that is both winsome, humble and confident.

 

All staff members at Crosspoint should be marked by the following tenets (the 5 C’s):

 

  • Character – a life that demonstrates abiding in Christ both publicly and privately.
  • Competency – the ability to understand and execute the expected job duties with an appropriate amount of supervision.
  • Calling – a God-given desire to make disciples of the next generation of laborers within the local church

Education

Childcare Coordinator

Purpose

The purpose of the Childcare Coordinator is to help serve the congregation of Crosspoint in conjunction with Crosspoint’s Family Ministry to partner with the home in making disciples of the next generation. The Childcare Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating nursery volunteers on Sunday mornings and staffing paid childcare needs Sunday through Saturday with variation week-to-week.

 

The Paid Childcare Coordinator will report to the Family Ministries Pastor.

 

Position Status: Part-Time – Non-Exempt

 

Qualifications

The Childcare Coordinator at Crosspoint Church must be one who strives in all areas of life to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, maintaining a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

 

This person must possess a heart both for making God’s glory known among the nations and for ministering to children and parents, that this generation of children at Crosspoint Church may surpass previous generations in faith, knowledge, righteousness, fruitfulness, evangelistic zeal and commitment to world evangelization.

Responsibilities

    • Recruit and interview new paid childcare workers from within Crosspoint associate or covenant members
    • Oversee completion of Ministry Safe training, background checks, volunteer applications, and Crosspoint Kids Ministry Policy training.
    • Schedule and supervise all paid childcare workers enlisted for Crosspoint events.
    • Work with ministry staff for the integration of paid childcare needs.
    • Conduct trainings annually or as needed for continuing paid childcare workers
    • Continuously evaluate and improve infrastructure, systems, facilities, equipment, and policies to better administer this growing ministry.
    • Pursue excellence in communication with staff, parents, workers, and outsiders.
    • Promote the unity and synergy of the church that God may be glorified in all things.
    • Other duties as assigned by Family Ministries Pastor.

Administrative Assistant 1

Purpose

 

The Administrative Assistant 1 is responsible for providing support for various ministries of the church. Above all, the Administrative Assistant 1 will seek to honor God by assisting Crosspoint Church in maintaining an organized, professional, and warming front office environment. The Administrative Assistant 1 will report to the Director of Operations.

 

Position Status: Part Time Hourly

 

Weekly Hours: Monday-Thursday 12:45pm-5pm, Friday 12pm-3pm
