Monthly Mission Challenge

For the month of September, we’re challenging you to memorize 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. In this passage we see the answer to the question, “Why share the gospel?” We learn that we are new creations and ambassadors for Christ, entrusted with the message of the gospel and commanded to share it with the world who desperately needs it. Commit to memorizing this passage throughout September and pray God would stir in you a great zeal to make the gospel known.

Loving our community

We desire to be used by God to see the gospel permeate our community as we display and declare the love of God in many ways. We want to see this happen through individuals living on mission, small groups serving together, and the church engaging the lost as the body of Christ.

Three levels of involvement

1) You

A disciple of Jesus is being transformed by the gospel and living daily on mission. In other words, the normal Christian life includes a concern and effort to share the good news with people in our spheres of influence: family, neighbors, friends and co-workers. We want to equip every believer to share the gospel with whoever they encounter wherever they live, work, and play.

2) Groups

Working together in outreach spurs us on in our personal spiritual growth and deepens our experience of fellowship. We have nearly 40 small groups throughout our community that pursue growth through living on mission together. We desire to see all of our groups on mission together at least once per semester, whether that be in their neighborhood or through serving together in one of the upcoming or ongoing outreach opportunities.

3) Church

By serving alongside one another corporately, we desire to display Jesus’ worth to our community in order to reach our community with the gospel.

Four strategic emphases

1) Caring for the oppressed

2) Apartment Complexes

3) International Students

4) College Students
