Family Ministry Announcement

Church Family,

Since February, our elders have been evaluating our needs in Student Ministry and prayerfully considering candidates to become our next Student Minister. On behalf of the elders, I am pleased to announce that Brock Bass will be joining the Crosspoint staff in August as Student Minister.

Brock has demonstrated a deep love for Christ and His people, is a humble servant, and has a passion for the mission and vision of Crosspoint Church. Brock and his wife Savannah are currently living in Seattle, WA where Brock has been serving on staff with Essential Church for the past two years.

Although coming from Seattle, Brock and Savannah are familiar faces to many of us here at Crosspoint. Brock is a two-time Clemson graduate and was a member at Crosspoint for over six years while he studied to earn both a B. S. and M. S. in Applied Psychology. Brock is currently working toward his Master of Divinity degree.

While at Crosspoint, Brock grew in maturity and volunteered in Student Ministry and College Ministry, spent many summers as a Summer LINK participant and director, and was very effective as a small group leader. Brock has also served with teenagers through FUGE camps. Coming to Clemson from Sally, SC, it was at Crosspoint Church as a freshman when Brock became a follower of Christ.

Savannah grew up in the Columbia area and is also a Clemson graduate. Also a former Crosspoint Church member and Summer LINK veteran, Savannah was very involved with youth through the ministry of Young Life and the Crosspoint Student Ministry.

At Essential, a Pillar Network church plant, Brock has provided leadership over their youth and college ministries. Additionally, he’s coordinated the church’s outreach efforts to their community and hosted and coordinated hundreds of volunteers and dozens of summer mission teams from all over the country.

Brock is excited for the opportunity to serve alongside Pastor Josh Jones as they seek to partner with parents in developing students into fully devoted followers of Christ by Connecting them to God, to others, and to the world.

Brock’s official start date with Crosspoint is August 1. However, Brock will join us for our corporate worship gathering on Sunday, June 11, and we will have a meet and greet for Brock before and after our members meeting that evening. Brock will then travel with our students and Pastor Josh for their week at SummerSalt from June 12-16 where he will be able to get to know our students and do some planning with Pastor Josh.

Please join us in praying for Brock and Savannah as they have a big summer before them providing leadership and coordination for many summer mission teams in Seattle. Pray also for Ryan Heard, who will be providing some interim support with Pastor Josh in our student ministry this summer until Brock arrives.
