Summer LINK Update

“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”  Isaiah 52:7

It was so exciting yesterday to be among a group of students being sent out to the nations for the summer! Yesterday, Sunday April 22nd we held a briefing for college students serving with our four unique Summer LINK locations: Boston, Clemson, India, and Honduras. Students met their team members, heard about the summer plans, and were trained in fund raising for the summer. Our college pastor, Jeremy Chasteen, shared the four core values of a Summer LINK experience: Discipleship, Community, Leadership Development, and Ministry. He encouraged students to not look at the summer as a mountain top experience but to see it as momentum for preparing them to reproduce biblical community when they return. He also shared his desire for each student to grow in personally knowing the gospel, living the gospel, and sharing the gospel. This summer promises to be an exciting discipleship experience for students and their leaders.
